- There are so many rappers and producers these
days. But once in a while, we find someone who is
both an artist and a beat maker. Kanye West,
Pharrell williams, Timbaland, and Ryan Leslie are
internationals who belong in this category. Terry
G, Samklef, Cohbhams Asuquo, and Jesse Jags
are Nigerians who also perform dual functions.
Luminous is another Nigerian who is both a
spitter and a boombox. I hear he sings, designs
websites & graphics, and writes poetry too. Lumi
is more or less a one man army. Judging from his
flows he’s been around for a while.
Lumi’s was recently featured in the Unaab cypher
and has plans on releasing an album soon. He
latest single is titled “New Day”. Thank God, he
worked with someone else – Oberz- on it.
In 2010, He joined a group. The musical group
Called “Coalition” consists of five talented artists
(4 guys and a lady): Baileyz Chase, Civil Mind
(@Misterawe), Fabs (@crypticfabs), Lumi
(@itslumibaby), and Rinsola.
Soon after their first live performance, they began
recording the Mixtape, “Crash Course” which
means “a rapid and intense course of training or
research (usually undertaken in an emergency)” was made
and is available online for free download.HERE
